Ashray Manur, Ph.D. is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Manur received his Ph.D. from the UW-Madison in Electrical Engineering with a focus on microgrids. His research focuses on using microgrids and energy storage solutions for wide number of applications – from rural electrification in India to energy resilience in the US. His current research studies the nexus between energy resilience and home health care in the US where millions of individuals and families that rely on electricity-dependent medical devices are at risk of outages due to natural disasters and public safety power shutoffs (PSPS) events.
