Name
Wednesday Industry Conversation - A Proven Model for Significant Clean Energy Adoption in a Community
Date & Time
Wednesday, January 13, 2021, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Jason MacDuff
Description

Decorah, a community in Northeast Iowa, maintains one of the highest adoption rates of renewable energy in the country. The town is also home to Winneshiek Energy District (WED), the first of its kind in the nation. The Driftless Area Lands Conservancy (DALC) has been increasingly digging into locally-owned clean energy opportunities in southwest Wisconsin, and supporting the Energy District model with members. Iowa County is the first under their umbrella with a steering committee. Greenpenny Bank, powered by Decorah Bank & Trust, will moderate a discussion with Andy Johnson and Joel Zook from WED, and Chuck Tennessen from DALC. You can learn more about Energy Districts and how, working together, more clean energy communities can be created in Wisconsin.
